Last year, Degica announced it would be releasing Visual Novel Maker, a tool along the lines of RPG Maker, only for visual novels. Back then, it had a tentative Autumn 2016 release window. Now, Visual Novel Maker is available on Steam. The program is normally $59.99 alone or $69.99 with its Live2D DLC, but a launch sale that takes the prices down to $50.99 and $59.49, respectively, is in effect until November 23, 2017.

Visual Novel Maker has everything people need to get started. It uses point-and-click and drag-and-drop interfaces, but people can also use scripting and extensions to alter the way their game works and modify commands. There are free Standard Asset Resources within the game. 4:3, 16:9, and 16:10 ratios up to 1080p are supported. Finished games can be played on Windows or Macs. Also, if you purchase the Live2D DLC, for Live2D character models and voice sync technology.

Visual Novel Maker is available for Windows, Mac, and Linux.
