Super Mario Cereal Coming Around December 11, 2017

A confirmed rumor had been floating around regarding a Super Mario Cereal with amiibo functionality. Kellogg’s said it was coming to the United States, but did not offer more details. Now, Nintendo has confirmed that it is real and will be arriving on store shelves as early as December 11, 2017.

In addition to the confirmation, details on what the cereal box amiibo does in Super Mario Odyssey have been revealed. When scanned into the game, people will get either gold coins or a heart. How many gold coins was not mentioned. It is unknown if the Super Mario Cereal box will be compatible with any other games.

 

Super Mario Odyssey is available for the Nintendo Switch.
