Back on September 11, 2017, My Time at Portia appeared on Kickstarter. It was designed to be a game that called the Harvest Moon and Rune Factory series to mind, what with players inheriting a workshop, crafting and creating items, heading into areas infested with monsters to attack them and gather materials and befriending townspeople. It met its goal, raising $146,697 from its 3,708 backers. The PC Early Access edition is now on Steam, with confirmation that the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions are also on the way.

The Early Access version of My Time at Portia currently has about 25-hours worth of content in it and has English and Traditional Chinese language options. It is possible to make an avatar, explore part of Portia, and already craft, cook, farm, fight and fish. There are even relationships already present. Additional Early Access updates will bring in features like raising animals, birthday parties, extra commissions and quests, a Marriage Life storyline, birthday parties, seasonal events, minigames, pub games, additional items and equipment, more buildings and new places to visit.

My Time at Portia will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One in 2018. It is immediately available on PCs via Steam Early Access.
