Splatoon 2 Becomes The First Nintendo Switch Title To Sell Two Million Copies In Japan

Since its worldwide launch in July 2017, Splatoon 2 has surpassed 2 million copies in sales in Japan, where it is now the very first Nintendo Switch title to hit the milestone, according to Famitsu’s sales tracker.

 

The two million copies come from a sales period of 30 weeks, from July 21, 2017 to February 11, 2018. The total is currently at 2,016,182 according to Famitsu’s numbers, and it doesn’t include digital sales.

 

Famitsu also shared its total Switch sales figure in Japan, which is currently at 3,766,244 units that sold between its launch date of March 3, 2017 to February 11, 2018.

 

Splatoon 2 is available for Nintendo Switch.
