StreetPass Relay Stations To End Service In Japan On March 28

Nintendo announced that the StreetPass Relay Stations, the hotspots that provide 3DS users with a unique way to pass StreetPass data to each other, will end its service in Japan on March 28.

For those of you who aren’t familiar with the StreetPass Relay Stations, it’s basically a system that allows 3DS users to go to any Nintendo Zone to store their StreetPass data temporarily so the next 3DS user to stop by can get it by simply passing the same relay point.

The service started back in August 2013, and it’ll be ending on March 28 at 10:00am JST in Japan. However, Nintendo adds that StreetPass won’t be going anywhere, as this only applies to the Street Pass Relay Stations.
