Shantae And The Pirate’s Curse Heading To The Nintendo Switch

The Nintendo Switch eShop in Australia has revealed that another entry in the Shantae series is going to appear on the console. A product listing says Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse will be available on the system on March 20, 2018. It will be a 478MB download, will work with the Nintendo Switch Pro Controller and can immediately be pre-ordered.

The Australian Nintendo Switch eShop is currently the only one with Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse listing. The North American, Japanese and European eShops make no mention of the game.

As a reminder, Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse is the third game in the series. After losing her genie abilities in Shantae: Risky’s Revenge, Shantae is an ordinary human. After finding out the mayor sold Scuttle Town to the Ammo Baron and Risky Boot’s Tinkerbats have been turned into Cacklebats by Dark Magic, Shantae joins forces with Risky to fight the Pirate Master. This means Shantae ends up gaining various pirate abilities.

Shantae and the Pirate’s Curse is available on the Nintendo 3DS, Nintendo Wii U, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
