An unexpected localization has appeared as part of the March 29, 2018 Nintendo 3DS eShop update in North America and Europe. Sonic Powered’s Waku Waku Sweets: Happy Sweets Making is now available in both regions. It is $24.99 in North America and £22.49 in Europe, though a 60% off discount is currently in effect in Europe until April 12, 2018. (Update: The price in North America is now $9.99.)
What is interesting is that Waku Waku Sweets: Happy Sweets Making is an over four year old game. It originally launched in Japan in December 2013. It is a Cooking Mama-sort of title, where players create over 100 sorts of desserts via minigames. People even have the opportunity to compete against other chefs in the game.
