We recently got a first look at first look at Dragon Quest Builders 2’s Malroth, who unlike the final boss of Dragon Quest II seems to be a good guy. Here’s a closer look and more details from the official website.
Malroth is a young amnesiac man who meets the protagonist on Empty Island. Other than his own name, Malroth doesn’t remember anything leading up to his arrival to Empty Island. He doesn’t have the ability to create like the protagonists, but he specializes in fighting monsters and gathering materials.
Malroth has great power that will come in handy for battle and gathering, and will be a reliable ally for the protagonists.
You can craft weapons and have Malroth equip them so he can help out in battle.
While gathering, Malroth will help out as well. It should certainly make your job easier with the two of you gathering resources.
Malroth will help take out monsters with his exceptional power. You can give him powerful weapons to further boost his talent as well.
While Malroth will be of great help for gathering, unfortunately, crafting doesn’t seem to be his strong suit.
