Nippon Ichi’s Live-Action Horror Game Announced As Closed Nightmare, Releases July 19 In Japan

Nippon Ichi previously teased a new live-action horror game called Project Nightmare back in January, and today it’s been announced as Closed Nightmare, and it releases in Japan this July. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089.]

The game’s protagonist is named Maria Joudai. The Famitsu magazine has a picture of the actress but Ryokutya says that perhaps someone who is more familiar with actors might have a better idea who it is. Maria gets called over by a woman named Chizuru, then gets restrained and loses all of her memories. For some reason, her left arm appears to be paralyzed. She gets forced into participating in a mysterious experiment.

Closed Nightmare is broken up into four main parts: the live-action movie part, the text part, the exploration part, and the mechanics part. You’ll need to work your way through all four parts while finding a way to escape.

Closed Nightmare releases in Japan on July 19, 2018. Its platform(s) has yet to be announced, but it is priced at 6,980 yen.
