Shadow Of The Tomb Raider Will Have Four Different Editions

Square Enix has revealed the different editions people can expect to see when Shadow of the Tomb Raider is released. In addition to the standard option, which just gives people a copy of the game, there will be Digital Deluxe, Croft and Ultimate Editions to choose from. (Thanks, IGN!)

To help people decide which version is right for them, Square Enix has revealed a grid going over each edition’s special features. The basic edition gives you the game, but if people buy it at launch, there are some limited time offers. For example, there is an Additional Skills Booster Pack and Dynamic Theme for the PlayStation 4, an avatar outfit for the Xbox One and a wallpaper for the PC. The Digital Deluxe version of Shadow of the Tomb Raider is quite similar, though it also adds the opportunity to start playing the game 48-hours early, the original game soundtrack and an additional outfit and weapon.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider Croft Edition kicks things up a notch, compared to the standard and Digital Deluxe versions. It has everything in the Digital Deluxe Edition, adds an additional two outfits and weapons, then provides the season pass. This means people eventually get an unspecified number of narrative side missions, seven Challenge Tombs, and seven extra outfits, skills and weapons. Supposedly, there will be a new adventure every month, but Square Enix did not note how many months that means.

An Ultimate Edition will be sold too. Its official image shows that it gives people  Shadow of the Tomb Raider, its the season pass, its soundtrack, the packs that end up providing three more outfits and weapons, a statue of Lara Croft wielding a machete, a bottle opener shaped like Lara’s climbing axe and a flashlight.

A new Shadow of the Tomb Raider trailer has also appeared.

Shadow of the Tomb Raider will come to the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC on September 14, 2018.
