From Software announced that it will host a network stress test for Dark Souls Remastered so that players can try out the game earlier as testers of a large-scale network ahead of its official launch.

Since it’s a test that will go into the network quality improvement before its full release, it will be available for free on both PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Nintendo Switch version will also get a network test, and its schedule will be announced on a later date.

The network test will be available in two sessions:

  • May 11 – 7:00pm – 10:00pm JST
  • May 12 – 7:00pm – 10:00pm JST

The 3gb client will be available for download later today until May 7. Fans in Japan can get the client on PS4 and Xbox One.

Dark Souls Remastered releases on May 25, 2018 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. The Nintendo Switch version releases in Summer 2018.
