Smash Ultimate Runs At 60fps Docked And Portable, Supports Wii U GameCube Controller Adapter

Nintendo has provided additional details on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate with some technical info and more on GameCube Controller support.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will run in 1080p or full-HD 1920 x 1080 resolution and 60fps while docked. On portable and tabletop modes, the game will run at 720p or 1280 x 720 resolution at 60fps.

In addition to the Joy-Con and Nintendo Switch Pro controllers, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate will support GameCube controllers. A GameCube Controller with a new design will also be released.

Players will need a GameCube Controller Adapter to use the controller. A new GameCube Controller Adapter for Nintendo Switch will also be available later, but those with the Wii U version will be able to use those as well.

 

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate releases on December 7, 2018 for Nintendo Switch.
