Square Enix recently revealed Final Fantasy VIII heroine Rinoa Heartilly as the next playable character for Dissidia Final Fantasy. Here’s a gameplay video from Famitsu that demonstrates some of her moves.
The video starts out with a demonstration of Rinoa’s Bravery Attacks “Harpy Shoot” followed by “Vega Blast,” “Angelo Call,” “Angelo Rush,” Cherudim Shot,” “Angelo Cannon,” and “Angelo Strike.”
Her EX Skill “Vary” makes Rinoa bust out with a pair of wings that you see halfway into the video. She then uses several magic abilities with Figa, Water, Holy, Blizzaga, Thundaga, Flare, Tornado, then “Combine” to go back to her normal state. Her HP Attack “Meltdown” shoots an energy attack that can be charged for further damage.
Lastly, we get to see her unique “Angel Recovery” ability that activates when Rinoa takes a certain amount of HP damage. Once it activates, Angelo appears to recover Rinoa’s health.
Rinoa Heartilly is scheduled to arrive on Dissidia Final Fantasy for arcade sometime in the July update later this month. For Dissidia Final Fantasy NT on PS4, she’ll arrive sometime near the end of August.
