Sega is celebrating the Phantasy Star series’ 30th anniversary this year, and they launched a countdown site for it with a smartphone RPG that is expected to be revealed on July 23. No further information other than the above image was provided by Sega. The very first Phantasy Star actually released in Japan in December 1987 but it released in the West in 1988 on the Master System.
