Dragon Quest XI released over a year ago in Japan and we still haven’t heard much about the upcoming Switch version, however, series creator Yuji Horii hinted that it’ll be at this year’s Tokyo Game Show. [Thanks, Hachima.]
During a special Dragon Quest XI concert event today, Yuji Horii shared the following statement regarding the Nintendo Switch version of Dragon Quest XI:
Yuji Horii, Designer: “I can’t say much about the Switch version of Dragon Quest XI, but its development is going smoothly. I feel like we’ll be able to make all kinds of announcements around Tokyo Game Show… I’m not sure how much more I should say.”
Takeshi Uchikawa, Director: “I feel like we might be able to announce something soon?”
Tokyo Game Show 2018 starts September 19, 2018 and ends on September 23, 2018.
Dragon Quest XI: Echoes of an Elusive Age releases on PlayStation 4 and PC on September 4, 2018. The game released in Japan on PS4 and 3DS in July 2017. Check out our previous report for a look at its Dragon Quest VIII costume bonus for the Hero.
