The God of War New Game Plus option has been dated, and with it comes news about what people can expect after being the game and starting the journey over again. The feature will be added as part of an August 20, 2018 free update. Once it appears, a number of options people can enjoy will increase.
When you begin a God of War New Game Plus file, you will be able to choose your difficulty level. Kratos and Atreus’ abilities, enchantments, pieces of equipment, resources, and talismans from your previous run will remain with you. As you go through the adventure for the second (or third) time around, you will notice that old enemies could have new abilities and be stronger than they were the first time around. You could also find new armor sets and enchantments. Plus, you can make the father and son stronger better by gathering the Skap Slag resource to make and upgrade equipment. There is even a new rarity level.
There will also be another addition in this God of War New Game Plus update. Once you have a seen a cutscene once, you can skip it at any time. This can be done in both a standard file or in a New Game Plus file.
God of War is available for the PlayStation 4.
