According to the latest from Famitsu’s sales tracker, the Nintendo Switch has sold over 5 million units in Japan, 79 weeks after its launch on March 3, 2017, as of September 2, 2018.

 

To be more specific, the number from Famitsu is 5,007,368 units.

 

Here are the top-5 selling software for Nintendo Switch in Japan as of September 2, 2018:

  1. Splatoon 2 – 2,621,928 (released July 21, 2017)
  2. Super Mario Odyssey – 1,788,228 (released October 27, 2017)
  3. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – 1,738,502 (released April 28, 2017)
  4. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – 1,065,780 (released March 3, 2017)
  5. Kirby: Star Allies – 591,721 (released March 16, 2018)
