Five More Stages May Be Coming To Super Smash Bros. Ultimate

The latest issue of CoroCoro magazine ran a feature on Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, where it was mentioned that the game will have 108 stages in total. [Thanks, Source Gaming!]

 

This is five more stages than previously reported in both August’s Super Smash Bros. Ultimate Direct and the Famitsu feature after the Direct. While this does not confirm any future Fighters joining the roster, this does hint that there may be up to five extra newcomers in Ultimate, if each Fighter comes with a stage attached. Otherwise, it might be new stages for returning characters, such as with the Yoshi’s Wooly World stage in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U for example.

 

Twitter user @epicmartin7 made a mockup of the Stage Select screen with five extra slots taken up in account of this new information, and the new stages would just about cover all the extra space on the bottom right, with one extra slot:

 

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is coming to Nintendo Switch on December 7, 2018.
