Meltan Pokémon Discovered Ahead Of Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! & Let’s Go, Eevee!

During the September 2018 Pokémon Community Day in Pokémon GO, a new Pokémon appeared. It looked unfamiliar and, when people would catch it, it would turn into a Ditto. Now, an official announcement has revealed this new character is Meltan, the Hex Nut Pokémon.

In a video with Professor Oak and Professor Willow, the two discuss Meltan. They confirm that it is a new Pokémon, though Professor Pokémon says he saw it in a mythical text and it is called Meltan. They don’t seem to know much yet, but Professor Oak takes the Ditto that was in a Meltan form while Professor Willow promises to do more field work.

Pokémon GO is immediately available for Android and Apple iOS devices. Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! and Let’s Go, Eevee! will be released on November 16, 2018 for Nintendo Switch.
