Here are the updated sales numbers for Nintendo Switch, 3DS, and Wii U:

Nintendo Switch

  • Hardware: 22.86 million units (+3.19 million from last quarter)
  • Software: 110.10 million units (+23.17)

Nintendo 3DS

  • Hardware: 73.53 million units (+0.64)

Wii U

  • Hardware: 13.56 million units (-)
  • Software: 102.53 million units (+0.25)

Nintendo is aiming to reach 20 million units of Switch sales for the current fiscal year (ending March 2019). About 1.88 million Switch consoles sold in the first quarter, followed by 3.19 million in the second for a total of 5.07 million units in the first half. We can expect to see much bigger numbers for the next two quarters with titles such as Super Smash Bros. Ultimate and Pokémon: Let’s Go, Pikachu! & Let’s Go, Eevee! coming out, otherwise we might see some adjustments for Nintendo’s goal.

It’s also worth noting that the Nintendo Switch’s new milestone of 22.86 million units has surpassed the Nintendo GameCube’s 21.74 million units in lifetime sales.
