Square Enix announced that Romancing SaGa Re; Universe, the upcoming smartphone RPG set 300 years after Romancing SaGa 3, is launching December 6 in Japan.

Romancing SaGa Re; Universe is being made as the first new Romancing SaGa game in 23 years, using the ideas of what makes SaGa games fun as the basis. Since it is set 300 years after the events of Romancing SaGa 3, fans of the series will notice various connections to the SaGa universe and its setting which is being handled by Square Enix’s SaGa team alongside series creator Akitoshi Kawazu working on its scenario.
