Mini games in Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree

I’ve been trying to figure out what to write about Big Brain Academy: Wii Degree because the game flow is pretty easy to grasp. You guide a Mii through a series of rapid fire logic puzzles and general knowledge questions. Instead of writing an essay about whether this was good or bad game design here is a look at fifteen of the quick puzzles you will encounter in the game.

This is one of the general knowledge questions where you have to identify the animal in the picture. Sometimes you see a pixilated picture, other times the picture is incomplete and it is slowly pieced together.

In this puzzle you point with the Wii remote and shoot the blocks to match the picture above.

You have to watch the red and blue balls that bounce in the basket. After a couple of seconds you have to select whether more red or blue balls made it in the basket. In later difficulty levels some balls miss the basket on purpose.

In this game you use the Wii remote like a flashlight and scan the dark screen to discover which of the three animals has the largest population.

This game quickly shows a kid popping out of the side of a building or a kid sitting inside a hot air balloon while the balloon scrolls upwards. After a quick glance at the kid’s face you need to identify it out of three other faces. In later difficulty levels, Big Brain Academy: Wii Edition mixes this up by adding more children to watch.

This is another general knowledge game where you have to select the smallest animal/object out of the group of four. To keep players on their toes sometimes you have to select the largest animal/object out of the four.

Players have to wind the clock 70 minutes forward by dragging the minute hand clockwise.
