Ninja Turtles arcade game coming to the Virtual Console

You knew it was coming since Konami already released Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles for the NES and now it’s semi-official. The ESRB has a listing up for Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles II: The Arcade Game for the Wii. While most NES games are sold for 500 Wii Points ($5), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle was priced at 600 Wii Points ($6), making it the most expensive NES game. It’s possible that the TMNT II: The Arcade game will also be sold for 600 Wii Points, due to licensing issues, which is an absolute rip off. On Xbox Live Arcade you can purchase the emulated 1989 arcade game for $5 with much better graphics and online play for four people. The NES game only supports two players and suffers from flicker issues all the way through. Paying the same amount of money or more for a crappier version? Hmm….

I wonder how many more rip offs like this it is going to take before people finally start to realize how much of a ripoff the virtual console is from a price standpoint?

omg, $1 more than other NES games, and it doesnt even come with cheesy upgrades that make it look stupid and not like the original game…..the game costs about as much as a drink at a bar, the virtual console isnt perfect but it certainly isnt a rip off
