How players make monsters in Monster Rancher Jamboree

Tecmo came up with a clever idea when they released Monster Rancher on the Playstation, use CDs/DVDs as the data to create monsters to raise. It was a gimmick, but it separated the Monster Rancher series from the burst of Pokemon-clones released in the 90s. When the series came to the Game Boy Advance Tecmo had a boring word input system, which wasn’t much different from inputting passwords. Monster Rancher Jamboree (aka Monster Farm Jamboree) is going back to its creative roots. Players that reserve the game get a special card to place over the touch screen to unlock a monster. Taking a cue from the Playstation releases, Monster Rancher Jamboree can get monster data from a cartridge in the GBA slot and new for the Nintendo DS is the ability to create monsters from recorded sounds.
