Mystery Dungeon Series’ Side-Scroller Spinoff To Release In Japan This July

Spike Chunsoft’s Mystery Dungeon series is getting a spinoff title called Mystery Chronicle: I Can’t Turn Back Until I Win, which plays a lot like One Way Heroics. This week’s issue of Famitsu reveals that the game will release this July in Japan. [Thanks, Game Jouhou.]

Each time you play Mystery Chronicle, the world will change, along with the tactics of how you take the stages on as part of the “forced side-scroller” game. There are various battles and items to find as you avoid this “Shine Raid” that is out to consume the world.

According to the magazine report, Mystery Chronicle was made using One Way Heroics as a base, brushed up and given a Spike Chunsoft taste for a console release.

Mystery Chronicle: I Can’t Turn Back Until I Win will release in Japan on July 30, 2015 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation Vita.
