Cave Story May Get A Physical Release On The Switch

Last month, Nicalis confirmed it would be bringing Cave Story to the Nintendo Switch in a screenshot that showed both it and 1001 Spikes alongside The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+. Last night, it hinted that this version of Cave Story might also receive a physical release. In a tweet, it showed off potential box art for the game and asked, “What if Cave Story had a physical release on Nintendo Switch?”

This would not be the first time Cave Story received a physical release. NIS America’s Cave Story 3D was available both physically and digitally. In addition, Nicalis will be releasing the Nintendo Switch version of The Binding of Isaac: Afterbirth+ both physically and digitally.

A release date has yet to be announced for the Nintendo Switch version of Cave Story.
