Footage has appeared from the Splatoon 2 mayonnaise vs. ketchup SplatFest, and it provides some interesting insight into this latest matchup. To start, the teams will be using themed ink. Those who supported Team Mayonnaise and Pearl will have cream-colored ink. Everyone who backed Team Ketchup and Marina will have red ink.
A video from みごなちゃんねる shows off the two different ink colors. It also offers a look at Splatoon 2’s Shifty Station. This is the SplatFest-exclusive map that will change each time. The gimmick here is that some of the stages’ platforms will shift during play, forcing players to pay more attention to where they are walking and leaping.
This Splatoon 2 SplatFest will run begin at 9pm PT on August 4, 2017/12am ET on August 5, 2017 in North America and at 3pm BST on August 5, 2017 in Europe. It will last for 24 hours.
Splatoon 2 is available for the Nintendo Switch.
