Discotek Media announced it is releasing the Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog animated series on Blu-ray in February 2022. The newly remastered release will feature all 65 episodes of the series in stereo sound. Additionally, it will also come with commentary from animator Milton Knight, as well as pilot episodes, rushes, commercials, and bumpers. There is no confirmed price.

Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog originally aired from 1993 to 1996, with Sega of America producing. The Blu-ray release will include the original sales pilot, as well as the 1996 Christmas special “Sonic Christmas Blast.” Furthermore, it will also come with the rushes (or dailies) for the first episode “Super Special Sonic Search and Smash Squad.”
Commentary from artist and animator Milton Knight is also featured on two episodes, as well as the pilot and rushes. Knight was the storyboard artist and animator on Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog. He also worked on other series, such as The Twisted Tales of Felix the Cat. Additionally, Discotek Media provided a brief clip of the unaired Sonic pilot. It also shared some of the packaging and disc designs, as well as some previews of the included art gallery.
