Animal Crossing Island Transfer Tool Arrives to Help You Move

Now that the latest Animal Crossing: New Horizons Winter update patch is live and the eShop’s November 19, 2020 update went through, all the pieces are in place to begin save data and island transfers. The Animal Crossing Island Transfer Tool is now available for free. The 47mb download helps you move from an island on one system to another.

Initially, Nintendo had a basic help page going over the process and explaining how the affair will work. Someone who isn’t an island representative can move out and either onto another existing island or new one. Someone could also move the whole island to another system. While the former is somewhat easier and involves having both systems on hand, the latter is more complex and involves this Animal Crossing Island Transfer Tool.

In order to begin the process, people must have both Nintendo Switch systems on-hand. Each one must also have the Island Transfer Tool already downloaded. Once you get the download started, you open the app on both devices and follow the on-screen instructions to begin the moving process.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons and its Island Transfer Tool are available for the Nintendo Switch. The next major update will arrive in January 2021, followed by a Super Mario update in March 2021.
