The next Pokemon Unite character is Azumarill. The new character will join the game on April 7, 2022. As usual, people will need to acquire the Pokemon’s license to play as them in-game. Also, folks will likely start out as Marill in Pokemon Unite before leveling up to that form while playing.
To go along with the announcement, there’s a brief trailer showing Azumarill in-battle in Pokemon Unite. This will be a melee All-Rounder character. However, some of the attacks in the video do involve some water elements. (As a reminder, Azumarill is a fairy and water-type Pokemon.) Near the end, people can see it square off against Pikachu.

The official moveset for Azumarill hasn’t been revealed yet.
Azumarill follows the debut of two other characters. Both Hoopa and Duraludon showed up in Pokemon Unite over the last two months. The mythical Pokemon showed up first. After that, the Pokemon Sword and Shield characters showed up after the Pokemon Day 2022 events ended.
Pokemon Unite is available for the Nintendo Switch and mobile devices, and Azumarill will appear in-game on April 7, 2022.
