A rather substantial update has arrived for the Nintendo Switch and PC versions of Civilization VI, and it is one that could create an endless “one more turn” cycle. The two iterations now support cross-saves. This means someone could start a game on their PC, play for a while, save, then pick up their Nintendo Switch and continue taking over the world on the go.
The Civilization VI cross-save feature was revealed via Twitter. So long as someone has a 2K account (which is free to make), then goes into the options section there to turn cloud saves on, you can begin sharing save files on the two platforms.
Here is the tweet revealing the new feature.
Civilization VI now supports cross-platform cloud saves on Steam and #NintendoSwitch. Link your @2K Account, tick the multi-platform cloud save box in options, and you’re good to go!

As a reminder, the Nintendo Switch version of Civilization VI is just the base game and does not include any expansions. This could lead to compatibility issues.
Civilization VI is available on the Nintendo Switch, PC, and Apple iOS devices.
