Dandara, an action/exploration game starring a heroine inspired by Brazilian historical figure Dandara dos Palmares, makes careful use of the touch screen for its wall and roof-scaling movement.
Dandara, which is in development for iOS and Android, has players move around by pointing to where they wish to go. Dandara will then shoot to that location, letting her rapidly move through the game’s environments as players explore looking for secrets and enemies to fight.
Players will also be able to shoot back on the touch pad, fighting enemies with their own weaponry. With Dandara’s rigid, yet quick movements, players will be constantly adjusting their position to better hit their enemies and dodge their attacks, resulting in tense tapping across the screen.
The developers expect Dandara to release in Q4 this year. Players who wish to follow its development can keep up with it on TIGSource.
