To understand how to build the Harmony Trailblazer in Honkai: Star Rail, we need to know how they work. They focus mostly on Breaking enemies, as well as dealing extra damage to Broken enemies. Their Skill is an offensive one that you can use to replenish their Energy, but their Ultimate is where they shine. It grants allies the backup dancer effect, giving extra break effects and dealing with super break DMG when they attack an enemy in the weakness broken state.

The Best Trailblazer Imaginary Light Cones in Honkai: Star Rail

  • Past Self in Mirror
As you may expect, Ruan Mei’s signature Light Cone works wonders with Trailblazer. It increases their Break Effect, as well as increases all allies’ DMG when Trailblazer uses their Ultimate. If you have over 150% Break Effect, you can also recover 1 Skill Point. 150% Break Effect is perfectly reachable for Trailblazer. The downsides of using this Light Cone are that it’s a limited 5-star, and if you have it, you likely have Ruan Mei, too. Ruan Mei kind of outclasses Trailblazer, so you’ll probably use her more anyway.
  • But the Battle Isn’t Over
This is a good Light Cone for its stats, availability, and ability. It increases their Energy Regeneration Rate, as well as recovers a Skill Point whenever they use their Ultimate on an ally. Part of the passive ability also increases an ally’s DMG when they take their turn after the wearer uses their Skill. In order to make sure your attacker is after Trailblazer, you might need to do some SPD tuning.
  • Memories of the Past
This is a good budget Light Cone for those who don’t have Past Self in Mirror or don’t want to give it to the Trailblazer. Memories of the Past increases the wearer’s Break Effect, as well as regenerates Energy when they attack. Even if the Energy Regeneration isn’t every turn, these are both great effects for Trailblazer.
  • Dance! Dance! Dance!
This Light Cone Advances Forward all allies’ action after the wearer uses their Ultimate. Because so much of the Trailblazer’s play style involves using their Ultimate, you’ll likely see this effect a lot. More turns for your party means more damage in a shorter amount of time, which is useful in places like Memory of Chaos or Pure Fiction.
  • Meshing Cogs
Meshing Cogs is the savior for any Harmony character relying on their Ultimate. It regenerates extra Energy when the wearer hits or is hit. It’s best at S5, but as a 3-star, you should be able to get that fairly easily.

Here Are the Best Trailblazer Imaginary Relics in Honkai: Star Rail

  • 4-pc Watchmaker, Master of Dream Machinations
As you may imagine, the Watchmaker Set is the best-in-slot for the Harmony Trailblazer. It increases his Break Effect, as well as increases the Break Effect for all allies after they use their Ultimate. This effect does not stack. So if another character already has Watchmaker on them and you want to run them with the Trailblazer, you should consider using another Relic Set on them.
  • 4-pc Thief of Shooting Meteor
Thief is a good Set for Trailblazer if you don’t have enough Watchmaker pieces or someone else in the party is already on Watchmaker. Thief increases the Trailblazer’s Break Effect, as well as regenerates Energy for them whenever they Break an enemy’s Weakness. Trailblazer has a slightly more aggressive kit than your regular Harmony, in that his Skill is an attack. So there’s a chance that he can Break enemies on his own, making this a pretty good Set for him.
  • 2-pc Thief of Shooting Meteor, 2-pc Watchmaker, Master of Dream Machinations
If you want to hard-focus on just his Break Effect, or don’t have enough good pieces for a full Set, you can make a chimera set of Thief and Watchmaker. When choosing sub-stats, you should focus on SPD, DEF, and HP. Your priority depends on your Planar Ornaments. But unless you’re running a gimmicky team, Trailblazer’s survivability matters a bit more than his damage.
  • Talia: Kingdom of Banditry
The Talia Planar Ornaments Set is one of the best Sets for a Harmony Trailblazer. This increases their Break Effect by 16%, as well as an additional 20% if they have over 145 SPD. It’s best if Trailblazer can reach that threshold, but a 16% Break Effect boost can be nice on its own too.
  • Penacony, Land of the Dreams
Because so much of Trailblazer’s utility in battle is their Ultimate, they should have plenty of Energy Regeneration Rate. Penacony is best for a Trailblazer on a mono-Imaginary team, or at least a team featuring an Imaginary DPS. This is because Penacony also increases your allies’ Imaginary DMG by 10%.
  • Sprightly Vonwacq
Sprightly Vonwacq, like Penacony, increases Trailblazer’s Energy Regeneration Rate. Like Talia, there is a SPD threshold to unlock the secondary effect, which is to Advance Forward their action at the start of battle. Trailblazer doesn’t exactly need this, since he’s not rushing to get in any buffs with his Skill, so you don’t have to worry about it if you can’t reach 120 SPD.
