The release of Final Fantasy XIV’s patch 3.4, Soul Surrender, is just a few days away, and the patch’s extensive preliminary notes have been shared over on the game’s official Lodestone.
Here’s a look at just some of the features coming to the game with patch 3.4.
New Chronicles of a New Era quests have been added.
Additionally, new side story quests, including the Scholasticate and Hildibrand quests, have been added.
The new patch will see the implementation of Grand Company Squadrons, which players will be able to assemble by recruiting NPCs.
Apartments are now available in all three of the residential districts. To purchase an apartment, players must have at least one class to level 50 and have attained the rank of second lieutenant in a Grand Company. Each room in an apartment will cost 500,000 gil, and one apartment is allowed per character.
Patch 3.4 will see the Wondrous Tails system added, in which players can complete a journal of sixteen objectives for the NPC Khloe Aliapoh. Completing objectives will get you seals that will fill in the journal at random. Upon receiving nine seals, Khloe will reward the player.
New hairstyles will be available via the aesthetician.
New dungeons, Xelphatol and the Great Gubal Library (Hard), have been added.
Alexander: The Creator, the final raid in the Alexander series, has been added. Both Normal and Savage modes will be available at the time of the patch release.
A new trial has been added in the form of Containment Bay P1T6 wherein players will face off against Sophia, the Goddess, of the Warring Triad.
Patch 3.4 will also see the implementation of Dueling which will let players go one-on-one against each other.
New minions have also been added to the game.
