Final Fantasy XV director Hajime Tabata has talked about magic in the upcoming game on several occasions, but we finally got a glimpse of how it looks in this week’s issue of Jump magazine. [Thanks, @Kazu4281.]
The magazine scan above shows an image of Noctis casting “Fire” in a fight against a Magitek Armor enemy. It also mentions that using Fire on grassy plains will instantly cause the flames to spread around, and going overboard with it could make the party members feel daunted.
We’ll likely get a closer look and more details on how it works in the next Active Time Report, which is expected to be sometime at the end of the month.
Final Fantasy XV will release in 2016 for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One.
