Another day, another look at one of the Fire Emblem: Three Houses DLC classes. In Cindered Shadows, three new roles will be introduced for students. The latest one to be revealed via the Japanese Twitter account is the Valkyrie, a class for women that puts characters on horseback and has them use faith and reason spells to attack enemies and support allies.

While the Fire Emblem: Three Houses Valkyrie is a generally magical unit, the focus here is on spells that fall under the Reason stat. This is because two of the skills these warriors can acquire increase the range of their magical black magic, which would involve spells like Fire or Bolganone, and dark magic, like Lysithea’s Dark Spikes T or Hubert’s Death Γ. In each case, the range is increased by one. They also have an Uncanny Blow skill, which grants them +30 hit when they initiate an attack on an enemy. (Editor’s Note: This has been updated with information from the now available English release.)

This Fire Emblem: Three Houses DLC character will also bring back an ability introduced in Fire Emblem: Genealogy of the Holy War again. It can learn Canto. If it works exactly like it did in past games, then it will allow a Valkyrie to move, use a spell, and then move again if the unit didn’t use up its entire movement allowance.

With this reveal, the new Fire Emblem: Three Houses DLC classes are all covered. Previously, we learned about the Dark Flier, Trickster, and War Cleric/War Monk.

Fire Emblem: Three Houses is available for the Nintendo Switch. Cindered Shadows will Cindered Shadows will come to North America on February 12, 2020 and Europe and Japan on February 13, 2020.
