Guilty Gear Strive Anji Mito Returns With Many Parries and Mixups

Arc System Works has published a new Guilty Gear Strive Starter Guide video for Anji Mito. It made the moveset guide in preparation for this week’s upcoming second open beta test. The open beta will have both Anji and I-No as characters to try out. [Thanks, 4Gamer!]

Unlike the newcomers Nagoriyuki and Giovanna, Anji Mito is a returning character who debuted in the second series title, Guilty Gear X. The twin fans user was also playable in the Guilty Gear XX series, as well as Guilty Gear Isuka. However, he was mostly absent in the Xrd series, save for a brief cameo appearance in the Rev 2 storyline.

In Guilty Gear Strive, some of Anji’s moves will allow him to dodge an opponent’s attack while moving towards them. One of his Overdrive moves, Kachoufuugetsu Kai, is a dedicated parrying move that deals massive damage on successful activation. Another signature move of his is Fuujin. It can combine with any of the four main attack buttons to produce different follow-up moves.

Following this video, Arc System Works will upload the Starter Guide for I-No. She was the last character revealed for Strive‘s launch roster in February 2021. Although Anji and I-No were initially planned to be available at the game’s full launch, the delay to June 2021 brought a major schedule change. The team decided to compensate for the delay by holding a new open beta test that includes all 15 characters available at launch.

Guilty Gear Strive officially releases for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC on June 11, 2021. Arc System Works will hold the second open beta test from May 13, 2021, at 10 PM ET, to May 16, 2021, at 9:59 AM ET.
