Himeko in Honkai: Star Rail Is a Great Fire DPS or Sub DPS

Himeko is one of the standard 5-star characters in Honkai: Star Rail, who can provide lots of extra damage for your party through her follow-up attacks. She is a fantastic AoE DPS or sub-DPS as well with her Ultimate. When choosing Light Cones and Relics for Himeko, you should prioritize ones that will increase her overall follow-up at tack and Ultimate damage potential.

To start with, let’s give a very quick rundown of Himeko’s kit. There’s nothing really special to say about her Normal Attack or Skill. Her Talent, Victory Rush, gets stacks every time you Break an enemy. At three stacks, it will deal a follow-up attack equal to a percentage of her ATK. Heavenly Flare, her Ultimate, deals AoE Fire DMG and recovers her Energy afterwards. Some of her Traces also increase the DMG she deals against enemies inflicted with Burn, which is an effect she can cause fairly easily between her Ultimate and her Talent.

Here are the best Light Cones to put on Himeko in Honkai: Star Rail:

  • Before Dawn
Jing Yuan’s signature Light Cone is a fantastic Erudition Light Cone in general. It can greatly increase Crit DMG and follow-up attack DMG through its passive. As a 5-star Light Cone, it offers a huge boost to Himeko’s stats, too. Unfortunately, not only is it a 5-star, but it’s a limited one at that. Its lack of ready availability can make it hard to recommend.
  • Night on the Milky Way
This is Himeko’s signature Light Cone and it increases her ATK for every enemy on the field. It also increases how much DMG she deals with a Weakness Break. Since it’s a 5-star Light Cone, you can also just use it for its high stats rather than its passive ability. If you care about abilities, though, some of the later Light Cones on this list are far more useful.
  • Make the World Clamor
This Light Cone increases Himeko’s Ultimate DMG, as well as lets her regenerate Energy immediately. Because so much of Himeko’s usage as an AoE DPS comes from her Ultimate, this is a really good one for her to have. It’s also fairly generic, which means it can be useful in both farming and boss fight situations.
  • Geniuses’ Repose/The Seriousness of Breakfast
Both of these Light Cones activate whenever Himeko defeats an enemy. Geniuses’ Repose increases her Crit DMG whereas The Seriousness of Breakfast increases her ATK. Which one you use depends on your current stats for Himeko, your other characters, and your Relics. Since they activate their effects depending on whether you defeat an enemy or not, they’re best for farming.
  • The Birth of the Self
If you want to use Himeko in situations other than just farming, The Birth of the Self is a good Light Cone to use. This increases the DMG of her follow-up attack, as well as deals more DMG when the enemy is under 50% health. Because it does not require Himeko to defeat an enemy first, this makes it a good Light Cone for situations such as boss fights.
Himeko Honkai Star Rail Relics

Here are the best Relics to put on Himeko in Honkai: Star Rail:

When choosing Relics for Himeko, you should prioritize her Fire DMG, SPD, and Crit stats. As per usual with a DPS or sub-DPS character, Musketeer of Wild Wheat and Space Sealing Station are good until you get more specialized Relics for her.

  • Firesmith of Lava-Forging
The 2-pc set increases Fire DMG by 10%, and the 4-pc set increases Skill DMG by 12%. The full set also increases the Fire DMG by 12% after an Ultimate. If you’re having difficulty getting a full set, you can combine the 2-pc Firesmith with 2-pc Musketeer.
  • The Ashblazing Grand Duke
This is the best Relic Set you can put on Himeko because of her focus on follow-up attacks. The 2-pc set increases how much DMG she can deal with her follow-up attack. Meanwhile, the 4-pc set will increase her ATK every time it deals damage, for a maximum of 48%. This is greatly increase her overall damage potential. As a note, this Relic Set is best if you’re using Himeko either for farming or somewhere with multiple enemies.
  • Inert Salsotto
Inert Salsotto is an amazing set for Himeko for its 2-pc effect. It increases her Crit Rate by 8% and once her Crit Rate is 50% or higher, it increases her Ultimate and follow-up atack DMG by 15%. Himeko’s Ultimate and follow-up attack are her bread and butter as your DPS, so you want to make sure she can unleash as much pain as possible with them.

Honkai: Star Rail is readily available on the Windows PC and mobile devices. A PS5 version is in development. Himeko is a permanent 5-star character you can pull from the gacha pool.
