How to unlock Wish me mell in Hello Kitty Island Adventure

Before you can get Wish me mell in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, you must have unlocked the Merry Meadow. To do this, you need to complete the “Revive the Oasis” Island Mystery Quest to unlock the Pickaxe, and then use it to unblock the waterfall cave on Gemstone Mountain during the “Curious Caverns” Around the Island quest. Check out our How to Unlock and Visit Merry Meadow in Hello Kitty Island Adventure guide for a more in-depth walkthrough.

With Merry Meadow now accessible, you can now start the process of unlocking Wish me mell. It will take at least two days of real time, though, so don’t expect the process to be quick. Below are the steps you need to take:

  • Pick up the Lost Doll next to the fast-travel mailbox to the right of the Merry Meadow entrance to start the “Lost Keepsake” quest.
  • Find and speak to Pompompurin about the Lost Doll, who tells you to talk to Chococat.
  • Speak to Chococat, and the quest will end. Wait one day in real life and talk to him again; the “Curiouser and Curiouser” quest will begin.
  • Talk to Badtz-maru, Hangyodon, My Melody, and Retsuko and ask which gifts they would give to a new resident.
  • Make a Tropical Music Box, Sakura Pudding, and Pineapple Pizza, and catch a Rockadoodler.
  • Take the items to Chococat, who will then ask for Ancient Inventions. Craft it and give it to him.
  • Meet Chococat in the Merry Meadow, then talk to Cinnamoroll. He will put the gifts on a tree stump for the mysterious new resident.
  • Wait a day in real life. Once you open the game the next day, you’ll have a letter from Wish me mell, thanking you for the gifts. The “A Long Awaited Introduction” quest will begin.
  • Return to Merry Meadow and talk to Wish me mell, who will ask you to find her Lost Doll, Mailbag, and Miniature Egg.
  • Find and give them to her, and she will agree to move into your island.

How to get Tropical Music Box, Sakura Pudding, Pineapple Pizza, Rockadoodler, and Ancient Inventions

To complete the “Curiouser and Curiouser” quest and work toward getting Wish me mell to move to your island in Hello Kitty Island Adventure, you need a Tropical Music Box, Sakura Pudding, Pineapple Pizza, and a Rockadoodler.

To craft the Tropical Music Box at a Crafting Table, you need:

  • 1 Mechanism.
  • 1 Ingot.
  • 5 Sand Dollars.

To cook a Sakura Pudding at Pompompurin’s Dessert Boat, you need:

  • 1 Cactus Cream.
  • 1 Sakura.

You can bake the Pineapple Pizza at the Pizza Oven on Mount Hothead using these ingredients:

  • 1 Dough.
  • 1 Pineapple.

You can catch a Rockadoodler on Gemstone Mountain. Look for a chicken running around. Make sure you’re quick because they move fast! I caught mine in Gemstone Town.

With all those in hand, gift them to Chococat, who requests you give the town visitor one final gift: Ancient Inventions. You get the Ancient Inventions Crafting Plans once you reach Friendship Level 6 with Chococat, and it requires the following materials to make:

  • 1 Blank Book.
  • 1 Mechanism.

Where to find Wish me mell’s Lost Doll, Mailbag, and Miniature Egg

At this point, you should already have the Lost Doll, as you needed to pick it up to start the “Lost Keepsake” quest, but if you don’t, it’s next to the mailbox to the right of the Merry Meadow entrance.

The Mailbag is next to an unwatered flower and a pink bush in the southeast of Merry Meadow. To get there, follow the path southeast from the big treestump and under the tree branch arch up the hill. Cross the wooden bridge at the top, and you’ll find the Mailbag.

Finally, you should spot the Miniature Egg on the way to getting the Mailbag as it’s next to the big treestump on the ground.
