The expansion passes were teased back in February, but very little was known about what exactly would be added to the two expansions. Now, we know that the first wave will include new weapon types for Link and Zelda, as well as higher difficulty enemies and an “Apocalyptic” difficulty level. Link’s flails in particular feature a weapon stealing ability as well as wide-range attacks.

Additionally, players will also be able to control a new “Battle-Tested Guardian.” New challenges and more difficult enemies will also be added to the game, including Giant Chuchus and stronger Wizzrobes.

Below is a list of all of the content that “Pulse of the Ancients” will add:

  • New Playable Character: Battle-Tested Guardian
  • New Weapon Types:
    • Flail for Link
    • Master Cycle for Zelda
  • Apocalyptic Difficulty Level
  • New Royal Ancient Lab challenges
  • New Challenging Enemies
    • Higher Ranking Wizzrobe
    • Giant Chuchu
    • More
