Nintendo and Koei Tecmo announced DLC for 2020’s Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity. The companies revealed the upcoming expansion pass during the Nintendo Direct on February 17, 2021. The expansion pass will cost $19.99 (before tax) and launch in two waves on June 2021 and November 2021.
The Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity expansion pass will contain new characters, weapon styles, stages, and battle skills. Buyers can also receive a purchase bonus on May 28, 2021. Pre-orders will go live on the eShop after the Nintendo Direct presentation.
Released in November 2020, Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity is a Musou spin-off title that somewhat tells the tale leading up to 2017’s The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. Koei Tecmo and Nintendo have partnered together on several spin-off games across various Nintendo IPs in recent years. The first Hyrule Warriors title was a huge success, seeing release across three separate platforms, with the Definitive Edition landing on the Nintendo Switch. We were big fans of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Calamity in our review, so we can’t wait to jump into the upcoming DLC.
