NIS America is picking up two more Touhou spin-off games. Both Touhou Genso Wanderer and Touhou Double Focus will be released on PlayStation 4s and PlayStation Vitas in the west next year. They will arrive in North America on February 7, 2017 and Europe on February 10, 2017. In addition, people who buy a physical launch copy of Touhou Genso Wanderer for the PlayStation 4 will also receive a copy of Touhou Double Focus. Touhou Genso Wanderer will only be available digitally for PlayStation Vitas, but physical and digital PlayStation 4 copies will be available.
Touhou Genso Wanderer is a roguelike RPG. After touching a mysterious, golden sphere in Rinnosuke’s shop, Reimu inadvertantly kicks off another incident in Gensokyo. It’s up to Reimu to work with characters like Futo Mononobe to explore mysterious dungeons and set things right again. An official website is now open.
Touhou Double Focus is a platformer that follows another incident involving a magical book. Kosuzu Motoori happened to open a book that could connect Gensokyo to the world inside of it. She realized its power and was about to deal with it, but Aya Shameimaru, a Bunbunmaru Newspaper reporter, already opened it, pulling the two of them, Momiji Inubashiri, Kisume, and other Gensokyo residents into it. Aya and Momiji must go through a 2D, platforming adventure to find a way to make things right again. An official website is also open for this game.
NIS America released Touhou Genso Rondo: Bullet Ballet on North American and European PlayStation 4s in September 2016.
