After multiple delays, at the The Game Awards 2024, Hollow Knight: Silksong returned with a release date at the April 2025 Nintendo Switch 2 Direct. We’ll get to go through Hornet’s adventure on 2025.
As a reminder, Hollow Knight: Silksong was originally intended to be an add-on for the base game, but the scope of it led to the expansion becoming its own title. Team Cherry announced that back in February 2019. After that, bits and pieces about the game came up. For example, we got to see the map system at once point and one of the NPCs. In 2022, we learned when it would release, it’d be on Xbox Game Pass at launch.
However, after the 2023 delay, we started to hear less about the title. While a Nendoroid of both the Knight and Hornet released, and we also saw new Steam art and an Xbox product listing, there weren’t concrete details about the new Hollow Knight game until now.Â
The Hollow Knight: Silksong release date will fall in 2025, and it will appear on the PS4, PS5, Switch, Siwtch 2, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC. You can find the original Hollow Knight on the PS4, Switch, Xbox One, and PC worldwide now.
