As previously reported, Camouflaj and Logan’s stealth adventure game, Republique, is also coming to PC/MAC. For the PC version, Camouflaj plan to alter the game to fit the platform better, and recently released a video update on their Kickstarter page, detailing some of their ideas for the PC version. You can watch this below:
One of the more interesting features planned for the PC version is in terms of presentation. While Republique will be a game that fills up the entire screen of your iPhone and iPad, on the PC, it may run in several different windows. Camouflaj suggested that, perhaps each window will contain a different aspect of the game, such as your cam feed with Hope, your map, other UI elements, and so on.
Effectively, it would be designed to feel like any other application running on your PC, and you would be able to minimize any of the individual windows and multi-task the game alongside your regular PC use. One of the reasons mentioned for this change is that, in the iOS versions, the iOS device itself is part of the story, since Hope calls you up on your phone, asking for your help. Similarly, the PC version may be altered in the aforementioned manner to make the story fit that platform as well.
Other additional features are planned for the PC version, too, which would make it more ambitious in scope than the iOS release. You can listen to some of Camouflaj’s ideas in the video above.
