As part of the Final Fantasy XIV Letter from the Producer LIVE Part LXXVII detailing the upcoming patch, Director and Producer Naoki Yoshida showed off some of the designs for the new weapons and gear. The weapons are all past weapon design contest winners. Meanwhile, the gear concept art shared are ones designed by the development team.
Yoshida displayed the weapon designs by holding up print outs to the camera for us to see. Global Community Producer Toshio “Foxclon” Murouchi assisted and offered additional commentary. Among them are an umbrella for the Blue Mage and an enormous, mechanized pizza cutter.

Final Fantasy XIV is immediately available on the PC, PS4, and PS5. Patch 6.4 The Dark Throne is set to arrive on May 23, 2023.
