The Yakuza games are massive, open-world adventures. There’s a lot of text to translate and localize. For the latest Yakuza 0 video, Sega brings in Scott Strichart, the game’s localization producer, to talk about this entry’s premise, setting, and its characters, Kazuma Kiryu and Goro Majima.

In Yakuza 0, both Kazuma and Goro are at the very beginning of their adventures with the Tojo Clan. It’s 1988, Kazuma’s 20 and new to the Dojima family. A 24-year-old Goro has been suspended from the Shimano family after refusing to cancel a raid and is attempting to work his way back into his proper place. Strichart goes into what this means for the game in the video.

Yakuza 0 will come to the PlayStation 4 in North America and Europe on January 24, 2017.
