Super Smash Bros. Ultimate‘s final DLC fighter is on the way. In the September 2021 Nintendo Direct, Nintendo confirmed the last addition to the game’s roster of playable characters would appear in a video presentation on October 5, 2021. This will be the final video for the game.

Masahiro Sakurai, the game’s director, will reveal and show off the fighter at 7 a.m. PT / 10 a.m. ET. The presentation will last roughly 40 minutes. Past character showcase videos, also hosted by Sakurai, have revealed music tracks and upcoming amiibo figures.

The unknown fighter is the sixth and final inclusion in Fighters Pass Vol. 2, marking the end of Nintendo’s planned downloadable content. This pack also includes ARMS‘ Min Min, Minecraft‘s Steve and Alex, Final Fantasy VII‘s Sephiroth, Xenoblade Chronicles 2‘s Pyra and Mythra, and Tekken‘s Kazuya. Like this final fighter in Challenger Pack 11, each is also available individually with accompanying stage, music and Spirits. The first Fighters Pass bundles the earliest five DLC packs.

The SSBU final fighter video announcement was part of the September 23, 2021 Nintendo Direct presentation. The 40-minute video also included new information on Kirby and the Forgotten Land, Monster Hunter Rise and more.
