During Gamescom, some leaks and spoilers appeared, and Sega has issued a ban on fan recording. This ban comes after Sega discovered that the autosave feature was still present at the Sonic Frontiers demo booth. This meant that players could keep on advancing from where the previous player left off, and progress beyond what Sega intended. They then posted these spoilers (such as a water level and fishing minigame) online.

Sonic Frontiers will come out on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Windows PC, and Nintendo Switch on November 8, 2022.
