Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s Final Week Covers Yoshi, Bayonetta, And Roy

Recommended Videos

The final week of Super Smash Bros. Ultimate’s Super Smash Blog is upon us, and the few final fighters to get an introduction are Yoshi, Bayonetta, and Roy. We also got introduced to the Flies & Hand and Tiki Assist Trophies, and fittingly, the arrangement this week is from the Smash series itself, being “How to Play” from Super Smash Bros. Melee.

#05 Yoshi

Yoshi is all about egg-related moves, like throwing eggs, swallowing opponents and turning them into eggs, or turning into an egg and charging toward an opponent. With a high jump, recovery is a piece of cake for Yoshi! And for his Final Smash, a Yoshi army stampedes through the stage.

#63 Bayonetta

An Umbra Witch who equips guns on her arms and legs, Bayonetta has mastered the beautiful but brutal Bullet Arts fighting style. She can even slow down her opponents with Witch Time!

#25 Roy

Get up close and personal for major damage! Unlike Marth, Roy’s attacks are more powerful the closer you get to the base of his blade. For his Final Smash, his sword bursts into flame and sends anyone caught in the blast flying.

Flies & Hand – New Assist Trophy

Flies buzz around the stage, and a hand holding a fly swatter goes around swatting up a storm. Getting caught in the swat-storm will cause severe damage, so think like a fly and run away!

Tiki – New Assist Trophy

Tiki is a Manakete, a race of dragonkin. While she usually stays in human form, she can transform into a fire-breathing dragon using the power of a Dragonstone. She doesn’t look it, but Tiki is actually over 1,000 years old.

Grab the Summon Materia to call forth powerful beings. If a Summon knocks out a fighter, the point is awarded to whoever grabbed the Summon Materia, so make sure it’s you!

How to Play – New Arrangement

You can now listen to “How to Play.” This original track from Melee has a fresh update. Enjoy this arrangement by Motoi Sakuraba as you wait for the game launch in just two days!
