The Promised Neverland movie is an adaptation of a popular manga and anime television series. The story follows a group of orphans planning their escape from their orphanage. With top billing on the poster, the film will star Minami Hamabe, Kairi Jo, Rihito Itagaki, Naomi Watanabe, and Keiko Kitagawa. Check out the official tweet below with the artwork.

The official twitter account for the film uploaded a one and a half minute trailer for The Promised Neverland movie, as well. The trailer highlights the intensity of the film, but those who are sensitive to spoilers should be mildly warned.

This film will be different from the Amazon series we heard about back in June 2020. That series will be a western production, helmed by the studio Vertigo Entertainment. The synergy doesn’t stop there, though. We heard about a video game adaptation of The Promised Neverland way back in August 2017.

The Promised Neverland movie will release in Japanese theaters on December 18, 2020.
